Byrum Heating & A/C, a NearU company in Matthews, NC, is looking for a Residential HVAC Installer to join the team. You will install residential and light commercial systems, run ductwork, and ensure installations meet code and company standards.

We value craftsmanship and customer focus. The role requires 2+ years of installation experience, EPA Type II/Universal certification (or eligibility within 90 days), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HVAC installation experience.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawlspaces, and varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including equipment, ductwork, and ventilation components.
• Review job requirements and materials prior to installation.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Ensure installations meet code requirements and company standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Complete installation notes, documentation, and equipment registration.
• Assist in training junior team members when needed.
