Byrum Heating & A/C, a NearU company, is seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Installer to join our team in North Carolina. You will install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, review requirements, and ensure code-compliant, high-quality installations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of installation experience, EPA Type II/Universal certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days), a clean driving record, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds while working in attics or crawl spaces.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HVAC installation experience.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawlspaces, and varying weather.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including equipment, ductwork, and ventilation components.
• Review job requirements and materials prior to installation.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Ensure installations meet code requirements and company standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Complete installation notes, documentation, and equipment registration.
• Assist in training junior team members when needed.
