Job summary

Byrum Heating & A/C, a NearU company, is seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Installer to join our Charlotte team. You’ll install residential and light commercial systems, run ductwork, review job requirements, and ensure installations meet code and company standards while keeping a clean, safe worksite and communicating professionally with customers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of HVAC installation experience, EPA Type II or Universal certification (or the ability to obtain within 90 days),

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HVAC installation experience preferred.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawlspaces, and varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including equipment, ductwork, and ventilation components.
• Review job requirements and materials prior to installation.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Ensure installations meet code requirements and company standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Complete installation notes, documentation, and equipment registration.
• Assist in training junior team members when needed.
