Job summary

Magnolia Plumbing, LLC in the DC metro area is seeking a Residential HVAC Installation Apprentice to learn and support the installation of residential HVAC systems under experienced technicians.

You will gain hands-on experience on a variety of equipment, read specifications, and develop skills toward a junior or lead installer role, while upholding safety and customer service standards during residential projects throughout Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role; no prior HVAC experience required but preferred.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical labor.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of residential HVAC systems incl. ACs, heat pumps, furnaces, and ductless systems.
• Support lead installers with replacements, new installations, and upgrades.
• Read and interpret installation drawings, specs, and manufacturer instructions.
• Assist with ductwork, refrigerant lines, condensate drains, thermostats, and related components.
• Measure, cut, fit, and secure ductwork and materials.
• Prepare job sites, load/unload tools, and maintain organization and safety.
• Learn on-the-job under supervision to progress toward junior/lead installer.
