Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Residential HVAC Field Service Specialist to diagnose comfort issues, start up systems, and coordinate parts for next visits. You’ll document results, communicate clearly with customers and dispatch, and maintain a clean work area and vehicle.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, inspecting ducting, wiring and starting up complete home systems, and ensuring safety and ethics in every service call. Strong communication and EPA certs are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; HVAC certs preferred.
• EPA certification required for handling refrigerants.
• Proven HVAC service/repair experience in residential settings.
• Strong communication and computer/tablet literacy.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair residential heating and air conditioning equipment.
• Inspect ducting and keep tools/materials in serviceable condition.
• Identify, wire, commission, and start up complete home HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and complete repairs to restore operation.
• Conduct start-ups; test systems and document results.
• Perform system inspections and report concerns to dispatch and customer.
• Explain services and repairs clearly to dispatch and customer.
• Coordinate daily schedules with the office; order and verify parts.
• Transport parts and tools to job sites; account for inventory.
• Complete paperwork/tablet entries neatly and on time.
• Debrief calls with dispatch/customer with proper documentation.

About the RolePicture your day starting with a quick check of your service vehicle—organized, stocked, and ready. Your first stop is a residential home where you slip on protective floor savers, greet the customer with a smile, and get right to work diagnosing a comfort issue. You trace the problem, verify wiring, perform a start-up, log test results on your tablet, explain what you did to both the customer and dispatch, and leave the work area cleaner than you found it. Between calls, you coordinate with the office on scheduling and parts so you’re prepared for the next appointment.
