Job summary

Airtron seeks a reliable Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our hands-on team in Austin. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems in occupied homes, following safety protocols and using digital tools to log work and order parts.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year HVAC service experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver's license. OT and weekend shifts may be required in this fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of residential HVAC service experience is preferred.
• EPA Certification is required or preferred depending on role.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work overtime with short notice; occasional weekends.
• HVAC trade school credential is preferred.
• 1–2 years in construction/HVAC or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver maintenance and repair on residential HVAC systems under supervision.
• Inspect ducting and keep tools and materials in good condition.
• Identify, wire, start up, and commission home comfort systems; record results.
• Troubleshoot issues and complete repairs to restore operation.
• Perform start-ups and document test outcomes for verification.
• Explain services and repairs clearly to dispatch and customer.
• Coordinate daily schedules and ensure parts are ordered and staged.
• Transport parts and tools to job sites and track inventory.
• Complete all required paperwork on tablet/computer neatly and on time.
• Debrief calls with dispatch and customers; maintain workspace cleanliness.
