Job summary

Tex-AC & Heating in Richardson, TX seeks an experienced HVAC Estimator to handle residential load calculations, equipment selections, and takeoffs for new construction projects. Review plans, perform Manual J and S calculations, and prepare accurate bids.

Qualifications

• Residential HVAC estimating and design experience
• Ability to read and interpret residential construction plans and mechanical plans
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment sizing and system design
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Workspace

Responsibilities

• Review residential construction plans, mechanical plans, specifications, and project documents.
• Perform and review Manual J load calculations.
• Perform and review Manual S equipment selections.
• Use Wrightsoft for load calculations, equipment sizing, and system design.
• Prepare detailed HVAC equipment and material takeoffs.
• Prepare HVAC bids, estimates, and proposals.
• Coordinate with builders, contractors, vendors, project managers, and office/field personnel.
• Track bid deadlines and follow up on missing information.
• Revise estimates and designs when plans change.
