Job summary

Bayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a Residential HVAC Estimator for a full-time, in-office role in Florida. You will lead estimating operations across branches, collaborating with operations, purchasing and leadership to ensure accurate, timely bids.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of residential HVAC estimating experience (production builder a plus), deep knowledge of load calculations, duct design, and strong Excel and pricing skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years residential HVAC estimating experience, production builder preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, duct design, load calculations and equipment
• Proven experience supporting high-volume builder environments
• Solid financial and cost-analysis skills
• Advanced Excel skills; estimating software experience required

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC estimating for production and custom residential projects
• Establish and maintain standardized estimating processes, templates, and pricing models
• Review and validate bids for scope accuracy, code compliance, and profitability
• Support branch teams in meeting builder bid deadlines
• Coordinate and review HVAC load calculations and system designs
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead assumptions to protect margin
• Mentor and support estimating staff across branches
• Serve as a technical and pricing resource to operations and leadership
• Assist with strategic pricing, value engineering, and builder negotiations
