IES Residential in Carrollton, TX, seeks an HVAC Designer to support residential HVAC design, load calculations, equipment selections, and project documentation. You will collaborate with internal teams using AutoCAD, Right Suite Universal, and other tools to develop efficient, code-compliant HVAC solutions.

The role emphasizes energy-efficient design, bid support, and cross-functional coordination with builders, engineers, field teams, and project managers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Right Suite Universal.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of ACCA Manual S and residential design standards.
• Ability to interpret plans and perform takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update residential HVAC designs, layouts, schematics, and documentation using AutoCAD, Right Suite Universal, and other design software.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations for residential projects across the continental US.
• Size and select HVAC equipment per ACCA Manual S and standards.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes and company requirements.
• Assist with bidding, estimating, and preparing proposals.
