Job summary

Arc of Acadiana in Lafayette, LA seeks a dependable Home Manager to oversee daily operations of Residential Community Group Homes and lead DSP staff in delivering person-centered support. You will supervise staff, ensure staffing coverage, uphold quality services, and maintain compliance with policies and licensing while promoting a safe, supportive home environment for individuals served.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organizational and communication skills to coach staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in residential, healthcare, or human services setting required.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organization.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
• Ability to coach, support, and hold staff accountable.
• Strong documentation and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Direct Support Professionals and maintains staffing coverage to support quality services.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
• Collaborates with Residential leadership, QIDPs, nursing, maintenance, and other teams to promote continuity of care and a safe home environment.
• Provides hands-on leadership, responding to operational needs and supporting a positive work environment for staff and individuals served.
