Job summary

Paths Building Services LLC in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a professional Residential Handyperson to maintain and repair 27-buildings in our affordable housing portfolio. You will support day-to-day operations, coordinate work with the Property Manager, and respond to tenant requests with a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities include light plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical tasks, plus scheduling access and keeping detailed work logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years' experience as Maintenance Technician or Handyperson.
• Flexible schedule based on operational needs.
• Residential maintenance and construction knowledge.
• Ability to perform painting, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication with tenants and staff.
• Reliable vehicle for travel between properties.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine property maintenance and repairs, including light plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and light electrical work
• Works closely with the Property Manager and Superintendent, who will help coordinate tasks
• Coordinates with tenants to schedule access to apartments and complete repairs
• Efficiently manages incoming service requests and work orders
• Repairs walkways and building exteriors
• Tracks time and logs activities and completed work for each job
• Completes renovation projects as needed
• Participates in an on-call rotation with the Superintendent to respond to tenant requests and building issues, with compensation provided for travel to the property
