Job summary
Arcxis, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is seeking a Foundation Designer to join our team in Houston. The role focuses on designing structural foundations for residential structures, using AutoCAD and PTI slab analysis, with emphasis on reading blueprints and ensuring code compliance.
Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of foundation design experience, familiarity with geotechnical reports, and a proactive, team-oriented work ethic. Some long days and weekend work may be required.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of foundation design experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Prepare foundation plans for residential structures from architectural drawings with limited supervision.
- Read and interpret residential architectural blueprints.
- Familiarity with PTI slab analysis software.
- Familiarity with survey plans, plot plans and geotechnical reports.
- Willingness to work long days and weekends.
- Team-oriented, proactive and adaptable work ethic.
