ARCXIS in Houston seeks a full-time Structural Designer to join an energetic team. You will produce structural designs and details for residential buildings under tight deadlines, leveraging AutoCAD.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in structural design for wood-framed construction, knowledge of building codes, and strong writing and communication skills.

The role offers growth in a nationwide firm with a local touch, with a schedule Monday–Friday and potential for longer hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural design experience in the building design industry.
• Excellent AutoCAD skills.
• Experienced in wood-framed construction.
• Familiarity with building codes.
• Strong writing/grammar skills.
• Able to communicate clearly with Architects, Builders, and Owners.
• Strong organization and time management with multi-tasking abilities.
• Willingness to work long days and weekends as required.
