ARCXIS seeks a full-time Structural Designer in the Houston area to create structural designs and details for residential buildings. The candidate should be fluent in AutoCAD and capable of handling steel, wood, and concrete designs, with strong reliability and time-management skills.

Experience with wood-framed construction and knowledge of building codes are preferred. The role offers growth within a dynamic team environment at our Houston office, with potential for development and long-term

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and able to produce structural designs and details for residential buildings.
• 2–6 years of structural design experience in building design.
• Experience with wood-framed construction.
• Familiarity with building codes is a plus.
• Understanding of building envelope requirements.
• Strong writing and grammar skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with Architects, Builders, and Owners.
• Excellent organization and time management; ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to work long days and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Produce structural designs and details for residential buildings under tight time constraints.
• Collaborate with Architects, Builders, and Owners; coordinate with mechanicals/HVAC when applicable.
