Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+yrs of experience.
• Building Inspector License is required.
• Certifications in MEP or plans examination preferred; willingness to obtain additional certifications encouraged.
• Experience conducting field inspections in active construction environments.
• Proficiency with inspection-related technology and digital reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform Family 1 & 2 residential inspections per Florida Building Code, approved plans, specifications, permits, and local requirements.
• Review plans, permit documentation, product approvals, specifications, and other project documents prior to and during inspections.
• Identify code deficiencies and deviations from approved construction documents; document findings.
• Maintain knowledge of current Florida Building Code requirements and local amendments.
• Travel to project sites and complete daily inspection reports and time records.
