Job summary

ARCXIS is seeking a Florida Licensed Standard Residential Inspector to join our private provider inspection team. The role conducts comprehensive residential inspections to verify compliance with the Florida Building Code and approved plans, ensuring safety and quality of properties.

The position requires 2+ years of field code compliance inspections, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills. Travel within approximately 2 hours of the primary location is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Standard Residential Inspector (BN License) or FL Commercial equivalent.
• Valid Florida Driver License.
• Reliable transportation.
• Minimum 2 years experience related to field code compliance inspections.
• Customer service oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections per day.
• Strong comfort level using technology including computers, tablets, and smartphones.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed field inspections for compliance with state and local building codes.
• Maintain comprehensive project records, inspection results, test results and other required documentation.
• Communicate findings and implications clearly to clients, residents and stakeholders.
• Foster professional relationships with Construction Managers, tradespeople and building department staff.
• Maintain knowledge of Florida building codes and standards to ensure compliance.
