Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures.
• Ability to positively interact with staff, public, contractors, and governmental entities.
• Demonstrated initiative and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections of construction projects.
• Review residential and commercial plans for code compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and results.

Skills

Knowledge of local building codes

3+ years experience with interpretation of codes

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good time management and organization skills

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office

Education

DBPR State of FL Inspector Licensing - Residential and Building

ICC Inspector certifications in multiple trades
