Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Residential Facility Safety Officer to maintain a safe, secure environment at a Colorado Springs site. The role requires monitoring access, patrolling multiple locations, and enforcing site regulations for personnel and visitors.

The position is full-time with a night shift (Sun–Wed, 6PM–4AM). Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, strong customer service and leadership skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greet site visitors and residents and assist as needed.
• Conduct foot patrols once an hour and complete daily activity and incident reports.
• Ask unauthorized persons to leave the facility while staying calm and professional.
• Monitor cameras, observe hazards, and report potential safety issues.
• Protect evidence and the scene of incidents and use sound judgment.
• Remain at site for the entire shift and respond to emergencies as required.

Conveniently located in Old Colorado City!

Some sites not accessible by public transportation due to location and/or shift.

Wage:$18.00/HR

Schedule: Sun - Wed: 6PM - 4AM

TheResidential Facility Safety Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Greet site visitors, residents, client employee's, client, and aid as needed.

• Uses sound judgement during unique situations.
• Carries out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

• Remains at site for entirety of shift.
• Monitors cameras, observes, and reports potential safety hazards.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Appropriate I9 Identifications on hand at time of offer.
• Willingness to travel 25-30 miles to and from work.
• Strong interpersonal and situational awareness skills.
• Must have Swing or Grave shift availability.
• Must have a strong work ethic and ability to work with a high needs community.
• Willingness to accept feedback and is open to communication.
• Must be able to adhere to 15 minute, and lunch breaks.
• Successful candidate will be able to adhere to all security procedures and post order requirements.
• Reliable transportation to commute to and from facility.
• Must be able to obtain Colorado Springs Guard Card License ($117.00 out of pocket) and maintain it every year at the same cost.
• Attendance is required for in-person interview and new hire orientation if hired.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations and/or a background in law enforcement is preferred.
