Job summary

Marksman Security seeks a Security Officer- Operations Support to join our Denver-area team. You will be responsible for guest screening, credential verification, patrols, and incident reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet guests promptly and courteously
• Verify credentials of incoming/outgoing individuals and vehicles
• Protect people and property by enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitor for suspicious activity and prevent vandalism/theft
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• Patrol interior and exterior perimeters
• Warn and manage violations (loitering, prohibited items)
• Respond to distress calls and emergencies with local responders
• Identify and report safety/security concerns promptly
• Ensure accurate completion of required reports/documents
• Enforce all rules and regulations
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Push/report operational matters in real time to SOC Manager
• Provide excellent customer service on duty
• Coordinate communications and manage emergency/non-emergency calls
• Maintain schedules and supervise security staff as needed
• Handle escalated security issues and coordinate with emergency teams
• Dispatch alarms and respond to incidents
• Compile daily/shift reports and monthly/quarterly data
• Assist SOC Manager or Director of Operations on projects

Security Relief Officer Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge and greet all guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles.
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures.
• Monitor and or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks.
• Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items.
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders.
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner.
• Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents).
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed.
• Other duties to be determined by Management.

Security Control Room Officer:

• Push/Report all appropriate operational matters in real-time directly to the SOC Manager
• Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty.
• Acts on all customer service related calls and either resolves them personally or refers issues to the appropriate individuals. Manage communications for emergency and non-emergency calls-for-service, to include; phone and email workstations. Monitor email inboxes, work order service requests and all communications devices; prioritize and process incoming information according to procedure.
• Responsible for establishing, maintaining and reviewing schedules.
• Assist in the supervision and management of team of security officers, training, coaching, development and support.
• Handle all escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately. Coordinate emergency incidents with Security Team. Notify, assist, and direct external emergency personnel and internal Emergency Response Team as necessary.
• Acknowledge alarms and dispatch personnel as needed
• Participate in regular training and scenario based security drills
• Understand and execute emergency SOC protocols, Understand and execute general service SOC protocols.
• Perform SOC related projects and tasks as requested by the SOC Manager or Director of Operations
• Compile daily SOC activities into daily shift reports. Accurately ensure detailed shift pass-downs are issued and followed. Compile monthly, quarterly and annual SOC statistical data. Author incident reports as described in SOC protocols
• Perform other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as assigned

• This position will require occasional, crouching, climbing of stairs, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time
