Job summary

Securitas US Business Unit is hiring a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment across the Denver Metro area.

Starting wage is $20.47/hour with increases after 6 months to $23.18/hour and after 1 year to $23.67/hour. The role involves monitoring, access control, and patrolling diverse sites while enforcing client site rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and enforce access control.
• Patrol multiple client sites within Denver Metro.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Provide excellent customer service to employees and guests.
• Complete posted rounds and follow post orders.

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to theclient’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.

• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.

• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
