Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a team of technicians and grounds staff across residential communities. You will ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely handling of maintenance requests while coordinating with environmental and safety teams.

Responsibilities include managing daily operations, supervising trades, and driving continuous improvement using Yardi and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College courses or technical training with trade certifications/licenses preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of property maintenance/operations experience.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
• Yardi experience preferred.
• Strong OSHA knowledge and safety compliance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations across multiple functions and teams.
• Direct grounds and landscaping to maintain curb appeal and property upkeep.
• Supervise technicians across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Coach staff on safety practices and PPE use; enforce safety standards.
• Assign work orders to meet response times and quality standards.
• Track key maintenance metrics and report on performance.
• Coordinate with environmental and safety teams for compliant work orders.
• Prepare reports on home histories, responses, and trends.
