Job summary

Balfour Beatty Communities is seeking a Maintenance Manager to direct a team of maintenance technicians and ground staff at an assigned residential community. You will ensure high quality work orders, safety compliance, and timely responses while coordinating with environmental and safety teams.

The role requires leadership, strong knowledge of trades, and the ability to manage performance, reporting, and procurement within Yardi and related systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of property management or maintenance operations experience.
• College courses or technical school training with relevant trade certifications and licenses preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide management oversight across maintenance, grounds, and work-order staff.
• Direct grounds and landscaping teams to maintain curb appeal.
• Oversee work across trades: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and more.
• Train and supervise staff on safety practices and PPE.
• Coordinate work order workflow to meet performance standards.
• Prepare reports on environmental and maintenance metrics.
