Job summary

AeroBarrier is looking for a Rating Field Inspector in Michigan, responsible for conducting residential energy inspections and supporting compliance with energy standards. The role involves close collaboration with builders and contractors to ensure homes meet efficiency standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a RESNET certification or be able to obtain it, have a strong background in construction or HVAC, and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Certification or ability to obtain RESNET Rating Field Inspector certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections on residential construction projects.
• Perform diagnostic testing including blower door and duct leakage testing.
• Inspect insulation and HVAC systems for compliance with energy codes.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports and documentation.
• Work with builders to identify and resolve performance issues.
