Job summary

Southeast Elevator seeks an Installation Mechanic Apprentice to train in installing and servicing residential elevators and wheelchair lifts, with mentoring and hands-on experience. The program offers promotion paths to lead mechanic within 12–18 months along with increased responsibility and pay.

You will travel between West Palm Beach and Miami as needed, work with a two-person crew, and learn safety codes and customer interaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel between West Palm Beach and Miami as needed.
• Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 150 lbs.
• Experience using hand tools safely and properly.
• Prior elevator or construction experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install residential elevators and wheelchair lifts as part of a two-person team.
• Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
• Interface professionally with customers and general contractors.
• Demonstrate strong safety awareness and regulatory compliance.
• Develop knowledge of safety codes and industry standards.
