Job summary

Southeast Elevator has immediate openings for an Installation Mechanic Apprentice. The Apprentice position provides great mentoring, training, and hands-on experience with installing and servicing home elevators.

Successful Apprentices can be promoted within 12-18 months to a lead mechanic with a commensurate increase in responsibility and compensation during the program as well as after. This is the perfect opportunity to start your career in the Elevator trade.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel between West Palm Beach and Miami as needed.
• Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 150 lbs.
• Experience using hand tools safely and properly.
• Prior elevator or construction experience preferred, but not required.
• Customer-oriented, motivated self-starter.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Install residential elevators and wheelchair lifts (apprentice during training).
• Work as part of a two-person installation team on job sites.
• Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
• Interface professionally with customers and general contractors.
• Demonstrate strong safety awareness and regulatory compliance.
• Develop knowledge of safety codes and industry standards.
