Job summary

Southeast Elevator is hiring an Installation Mechanic Apprentice to learn the installation and servicing of home elevators. You will receive hands-on training, mentoring, and a path to become a lead mechanic within 12-18 months with increased responsibility and compensation.

Position supports Palm Beach and Miami markets, with travel between locations as needed. Entry-level role focused on safety, customer service, and skilled trades development.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel between West Palm Beach and Miami as needed.
• Comfortable working at heights and on ladders.
• Ability to lift up to 150 lbs.
• Experience using hand tools safely and properly.
• Prior elevator or construction experience preferred, but not required.
• Customer-oriented, motivated self-starter.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• During training, you will work alongside experienced mechanics to learn installation and servicing of residential elevators and wheelchair lifts.
• As your skills grow, you’ll take on more responsibility and independence in the field.
• Install residential elevators and wheelchair lifts.
• Work as part of a two-person installation team on job sites.
• Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
• Interface professionally with customers and general contractors.
• Demonstrate strong safety awareness and regulatory compliance.
• Develop knowledge of safety codes and industry standards.
• Multi-task with patience, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Operate basic computer equipment and mobile devices.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
