Job summary

Moore Home Services in California seeks an Electrical Manager to lead and grow our residential electrical department. You will oversee service, installation, and maintenance operations, guide teams, ensure code compliance, safety, and quality workmanship while driving profitability.

This role combines field oversight with strategic planning—recruiting, training, budgeting, and KPI management. You will collaborate with sales, dispatch, and customers to deliver an outstanding service experience

Qualifications

5+ years of residential electrical experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
Experience leading, growing, and developing electrical teams.
Strong working knowledge of residential electrical systems, troubleshooting, installations, and the NEC.
Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license (preferred).
Demonstrated business acumen with budgeting, profitability, KPIs, and operational performance.
Exceptional leadership, coaching, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

Build and develop a high-performing team of electricians and apprentices.
Establish a culture of accountability, safety, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
Oversee day-to-day electrical operations, including service, repair, replacement, and installation projects.
Ensure all work complies with NEC requirements and safety standards.
Conduct field inspections and quality assurance reviews.
Provide technical guidance for complex electrical diagnostics and installations.
Develop departmental goals, budgets, and staffing plans.
Monitor KPIs, labor productivity, revenue, gross margin, and profitability.
Optimize scheduling, workforce planning, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with sales, dispatch, and customer service to ensure outstanding experience.
Support estimating, job scoping, and proposal development for larger projects.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and profitability.
Ensure compliance with policies, safety regulations, licensing, and best practices.
