Job summary

IES Residential in Katy, TX seeks an Electrical Leadman to command a crew of electricians on new single-family home projects. The role blends hands-on work with leadership to ensure safe, efficient installations per NEC and project specs.

The Leadman will mentor apprentices, read blueprints, and coordinate with managers while maintaining logs, codes compliance, and high-quality standards on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential electrical installation experience.
• At least 1 year of leadership or crew lead experience.
• Texas Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license required.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, blueprint reading, and residential wiring practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in residential electrical installation including layout, rough-in, and trim-out phases.
• Ensure all work complies with the NEC, local regulations, and project blueprints.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA standards on all job sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
• Train and mentor apprentices and junior electricians.
• Communicate job progress, issues, and changes with project managers, superintendents, and builders.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping, production logs, and material usage records.
• Ensure installations meet IES quality standards and pass inspections.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.
