Job summary

The New School in New York City is seeking Community Assistants to support residence hall offices during the Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 academic year. The role includes graphic design, social media tasks, and answering questions from students and parents.

Qualified candidates will be student workers who can handle multiple duties, stay detail oriented, and meet deadlines. Hours are 10–15 per week, typically 9 am–5 pm, Mon–Fri, with potential weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift packages weighing at least 20 pounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Clear communication skills: listening, verbal and written.
• Dexterity, efficiency, and self-motivation to sort large volumes of mail.
• Good organizational skills, reliable, dependable, attentive to detail.
• Ability to complete administrative tasks neatly and legibly.
