Job summary

Anthurium Human Services in Saint Cloud, MN is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support youth in our residential programs. This active role offers both part-time and full-time positions with onboarding and ongoing training.

You’ll provide supervision, emotional support, and guidance, help with daily living skills, and ensure safety and respectful, person-centered care in a structured home setting. Prior experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Post-secondary coursework in social work, psychology, or related field a plus)
• Valid Driver’s License, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to successfully complete a Minnesota DHS background study
• Must be 21+ years old
• Must be physically able to assist in emergency interventions, including lifting, bending, and safely performing manual restraints
• Ability to complete required training (First Aid, Medication Administration, Crisis Intervention, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Providing supervision, emotional support, and positive guidance
• Building professional, supportive relationships with individuals served
• Supporting daily living skills, routines, activities, and community participation
• Assisting with personal cares
• Modeling healthy communication, boundaries, and coping skills
• Following individualized support plans, behavior plans, and safety protocols
• Responding calmly and therapeutically during behavioral escalations
• Using crisis prevention and de-escalation strategies
• Completing accurate and timely documentation
• Communicating important information with coworkers and supervisors
• Collaborating with team members and other professionals to provide consistent care
• Maintaining a safe, structured, and respectful home environment
