Anthurium Human Services in Saint Cloud, MN is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support youth in our residential programs. This active role offers both part-time and full-time positions with onboarding and ongoing training.

You’ll provide supervision, emotional support, and guidance, help with daily living skills, and ensure safety and respectful, person-centered care in a structured home setting. Prior experience is valued but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Post-secondary coursework in social work, psychology, or related field a plus)
• Valid Driver’s License, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to successfully complete a Minnesota DHS background study
• Must be 21+ years old
• Must be physically able to assist in emergency interventions, including lifting, bending, and safely performing manual restraints
• Ability to complete required training (First Aid, Medication Administration, Crisis Intervention, etc.)

Location: Saint Cloud, MN

Shifts Available:

• Morning Shift: 7:00am-3:00pm
• Weekend and Tuesday availability preferred

Pay: $22-25 per hour

Anthurium Human Services is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support youth in our residential programs in Saint Cloud.

Our DSPs play an important role in creating safe, consistent, and supportive environments where youth can build skills, regulate emotions, participate in their communities, and work toward greater independence.

Experience is valued, but you don't have to know everything on day one. We provide paid, comprehensive onboarding and ongoing training to help staff develop the skills and confidence needed to provide high-quality, person-centered support.

What You’ll Do:

As a DSP, you'll directly work with youth in a structured residential setting and help support their daily routines, goals, safety, and emotional well-being.

What To Expect

The youth we support have developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, trauma histories, and/or high behavioral support needs. Because every individual is different, staff should be prepared to respond to a variety of behaviors and support needs while maintaining a calm, respectful, and person-centered approach.

This is an active, hands-on role that requires adaptability, good judgment, consistency, and strong professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience:

• Direct support, residential care, mental health, behavioral health, or other human services work
• Prior work with youth with developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, or trauma history
• Crisis prevention, de-escalation, or behavior support
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and positive behavior supports

Relevant education or coursework in social work, psychology, human services, or related field is also a plus.
