Job summary

Intandem Solutions in New York is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to enhance the quality of life for people with developmental disabilities in our residential program. You will assist, instruct and support individuals to be as independent as possible, promoting health, safety and well-being while building positive relationships.

Advocacy for individuals to communicate wants/needs and integration into the community for recreation is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform all job functions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in residences to be as independent as possible.
• Promote health, safety and well-being of individuals.
• Advocate for individuals' wants and needs and help them engage with the community.
• Perform light housekeeping, plan nutritious meals and administer medications as needed.
• Participate in trainings to enhance skills and knowledge.
