Job summary

Rock Creek Foundation in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Residential Program under Mental Health Administration. You will provide compassionate, person-centered care to individuals with mental health diagnoses and co-occurring disabilities, supporting daily living activities and safety.

The role offers a stable schedule (M-F, 7AM-3PM or 8AM-4PM), competitive hourly pay of $20.00–$20.50, and generous benefits including retirement, health coverage, paid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years’ experience with adults with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license with ≤3 points and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and multitask.
• Ability to pass background checks and FBI fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with mental health diagnosis and co-occurring disabilities.
• Foster positive relationships with consumers.
• Ensure consumer safety and a safe environment.
• Assist with self-administration of medication.
• Perform personal care tasks including hygiene and grooming.
• Plan meals and assist with shopping and serving meals.
• Document changes in condition or behavior.
