Job summary

Summit Homes seeks a detail-driven Residential Drafter to create, coordinate, and maintain construction documents from permitting through on-site construction. You will produce lot-specific plan sets, maintain master plans, implement revisions, and respond to construction questions.

The ideal candidate is proficient in Revit, able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and skilled at coordinating with internal teams and third‑party engineers to resolve design and build issues

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Revit within a BIM environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
• Knowledge of residential construction methods, codes, and permitting processes.
• Ability to read and coordinate architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lot-specific construction document packages for permitting and construction.
• Coordinate architectural revisions required for permit approval and site conditions.
• Respond to plan review comments and coordinate changes to support permit issuance.
• Maintain master plans and BIM/Revit documentation across projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams and third-party engineers to resolve design issues.
• Support RFIs, field questions, and construction issue resolution.
• Ensure plan information consistency across sheets, details, and documentation.
• Assist with product launches and architectural visuals for sales/marketing.
