Job summary

Timeline Design + Build is hiring a Design Draftsperson to produce accurate architectural drawings and construction documents for custom residential projects in the Bay Area. You will translate design intent into buildable documentation while adhering to drafting standards and deadlines.

The role requires strong Revit skills, familiarity with SketchUp and other tools, and the ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in producing accurate architectural drawings and construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and California codes; able to ensure permit readiness.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while communicating clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural drawings and construction documents using Revit.
• Produce accurate as-built drawings and field measurements.
• Develop permit and construction drawing sets per designer guidance.
• Revise drawings promptly based on reviews and comments from consultants.
• Coordinate with designers, consultants, and internal teams for complete documents.
• Ensure drawings comply with codes, zoning, and drafting standards.
• Perform quality control to minimize drafting errors.
• Identify design or constructability issues and communicate them promptly.
• Maintain organized project files through the project lifecycle.
• Meet project deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
