Job summary

Jewish Community Services (JCS) in Baltimore seeks a Senior Manager, Residential to oversee disability services operations, including residential group homes under DDA guidelines. The role leads the team, manages budgets, and ensures compliance with regulations.

The Senior Manager will work with the Director of Disability Services to develop policies, procedures, quality initiatives, and compliance programs, while collaborating with executives to plan and oversee programs and supports.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of related professional experience, including five+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience managing program budgets and grants.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead employees, delegate responsibilities, provide feedback, and promote professional development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the program’s fiscal and operational resources, including leading the annual budget process, monitoring spending, managing grants and deliverables, and presenting budgets to lay leadership.
• Design and implement programs, policies, and practices to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
• Maintain documentation for managed programs, identify risks, and assist with risk management policies and procedures.
• Develop and strengthen partnerships across JCS and with external stakeholders to achieve mutual goals.
• Provide person-centered support to staff, clients, and customers navigating JCS systems.
• Set clear expectations, motivate, and develop staff to meet goals.
• Promote learning and development with direction, workloads, supervision, and feedback.
• Translate vision into action plans with team involvement in planning.
• Identify challenges and opportunities to support priorities and deadlines.
• Resolve problems and conflicts with sound judgment and safety in mind.
• Supervise staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage personnel actions.
• Hire and terminate staff with fairness and support to succeed.
