Job summary

PathWays of Southwestern Pennsylvania is hiring a Residential Direct Support Professional to help adults with intellectual disabilities and autism live independently in residential homes.

You’ll support daily living activities, teach life skills, and provide consistent, compassionate care to build routines and confidence in participants.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and keep it valid.
• 1 year of direct care experience is required.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Up-to-date Criminal Background Checks and pre-employment TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in residential homes with daily living.
• Help build routines and teach essential life skills.
• Be a dependable role model and source of encouragement.

What You’ll Be Doing As a Residential DSP

As a Residential Direct Support Professional, you’ll support individuals in our Residential Homes with daily living and life-enriching experiences. You’ll help build routines, teach skills, and most importantly — be someone they can count on.

A Few Things You’ll Help With

• Personal care: eating, grooming, bathing, dressing, etc.
• Meal prep and kitchen fun (yes, cooking together counts!)
• Light housekeeping
• Medication administration and medical appointments
• Fun community outings, errands, and day trips
• Building confidence, independence, and meaningful connections

Requirements
