Job summary

Lifetime Assistance, LeRoy, NY, is seeking a Direct Support Professional – Residential to join our Residential Services team. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with a schedule including Mon & Thu 3pm-11pm and Fri-Sun 1pm-9pm, starting wage $21.55/hour plus $0.75 weekend differential.

You will support individuals in daily living, health and safety, and community participation, while documenting progress and coordinating with the Residential Manager. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required—ideal candidates are dependable, friendly, caring, and trustworthy.
• Must meet Vehicle Operator requirements (except overnight/relief shifts).
• First Aid/CPR, SCIP-R, and Medication Administration certification (or ability to obtain).
• Must pass all required background checks and clearances (e.g., SCR, Fingerprinting, SEL, MHL).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in developing independence, self-help, and social skills.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being, including medication administration if certified.
• Implement and document progress on individualized service plans and daily supports.
• Encourage community integration and participation in social and recreational activities.
• Drive agency vehicles for transportation as needed.
• Maintain positive, professional communication with individuals, families, and colleagues.
• Complete required training, certifications, and ongoing professional development.
