Lifetime Assistance, Inc. in Rochester, NY is hiring a Direct Support Professional – Residential for a full‑time evening schedule. The position leads to meaningful daily support for individuals with IDD and requires compassion, reliability, and teamwork.

The role offers an evening/weekend schedule (Wed 3pm–11pm, Thu/Fri 3pm–9pm, Sat/Sun 1pm–9pm) with a starting wage of $21.55/hr plus a $0.75 weekend differential ($22.30/hr), totaling 36 hours/week.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required but dependable and trustworthy are valued.
• First Aid/CPR, SCIP-R, and Medication Administration certs (or ability to obtain).
• Pass background checks and clearances (SCR, Fingerprinting, SEL, MHL).
• Follow individualized plans and safety protocols.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation in EHR.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living assistance (hygiene, grooming, meals, light housekeeping).
• Support individuals in developing independence and social skills.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being, including medication administration if certified.
• Implement and document progress on individualized service plans and daily supports.
• Encourage community integration and participation in activities.
• Drive agency vehicles for transportation as needed.
• Maintain positive professional communication with individuals, families, and colleagues.
• Complete required training and ongoing professional development.
