Job summary

ICL is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate care in a residential setting on West 12th Residence, Brooklyn, NY. The role involves assisting individuals with daily living, health support, and skill development to promote independence in a least-restrictive environment.

Compensation includes an hourly rate of $19.8077 with comprehensive benefits, PTO, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; DSP Certificate required or obtainable.
• Experience: Direct care to adults with developmental/physical disabilities preferred.
• Certifications: AMAP, SCIP‑R, CPR and First Aid; NY Driver’s License; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and health support, including hygiene, grooming, toileting, and medication administration (per AMAP).
• Support nutrition and mealtime activities and social dining skills.
• Maintain a safe, clean residential environment; assist with housekeeping and safety tasks.
• Promote development, independence, and community integration through skill-building and transportation.
• Observe, document progress; participate in program planning and staff training.
