Cogdill Builders of Florida is a well-established custom home building company with over 25 years of experience building custom homes throughout the Tampa Bay Area. We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented Residential CADD Designer / Client Manager / Permitting Manager who enjoys performing a wide variety of tasks. We need an individual who can specifically manage the preconstruction phase of new custom homes, including:

1. Create architectural custom home plan sets for new custom homes by working directly with the customer.
2. Assist in producing quote packages to solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
3. Assist in assembling cost estimates and creating contracts and pricing attachments for new contracts.
4. Manage the building permit process for new homes and keep track of permit status.
5. Collaborate with lenders for the clients.
6. Follow up with and keep track of new prospects/clients.
7. Attend home shows to meet and greet new clients.
8. Assist clients in product selections throughout the construction process.
9. Be willing to attend relevant continuing education courses.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in design software. We use SoftPlan. If you have substantial experience in residential CADD design but not SoftPlan, training can be arranged.
• Strong understanding of residential design and space planning.
• Ability to work consistently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills to articulate design ideas clearly to clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• A degree in Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory based on experience.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in construction and residential design.
• At least 5 years of experience creating residential architectural plan sets.
• At least 2 years of permitting experience.

Most importantly, a focused, self-starting individual with a positive, upbeat attitude is essential.
