Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a Direct Support Crisis Specialist for the Newberg & Brooks area to provide 24/7 residential care in group homes serving individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. This role offers diverse shifts and a path for ongoing salary increases within a stable, state-supported program.

Eligible applicants should have 18+ months of direct care experience or related training, an associate or higher degree in a related field, and a valid

Qualifications

• 18 months of direct care or training experience in human services.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Associate or higher degree in a related human services field.
• Combination of education and experience as defined above.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 residential care in a group home setting.
• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
• Document activities, behavior, and progress; maintain confidentiality.
• Administer medications under nursing/medical direction.
• Prepare meals and complete housekeeping tasks.
