Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking a Residential Counselor in Bristow, VA to supervise residents and manage shift transitions. The role includes confirming census counts, maintaining coverage, and documenting daily logs, with Waiver testing as needed.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Human Services or pursuit of such, or a HS Diploma/GED with experience. Training and certification will be provided within our milieu of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services required or pursuing degree with evidence.
• High School Diploma or GED and six months experience working with children.
• Enroll and complete assigned training and Certification Program for development in our milieu of care

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents.
• Confirm census count received from prior on-duty staff before assuming floor responsibilities.
• Maintain shift coverage until the next shift is positioned.
• Confirm status and location of assigned residents.
• Perform room checks every 15 minutes.
• Document required forms on the daily log before ending shift.
• Perform waiver testing on residents after home visits, AWOL, and as needed

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Responsible for supervision of the residents.
• Confirm census count received from prior on-duty staff before assuming floor responsibilities.
• Maintain shift coverage until the next shift is securely in position.
• Confirm status and location of assigned residents.
• Room checks every 15 minutes
• Completely and accurately document any required forms on the daily log prior to the ending shift.
• Perform waive testing on residents after home visits, AWOL, and as needed.

CLIENT'S HOURS

• Two weekdays and every Saturday-Sunday from 6:30am-6:30pm, 8:30am-8:30pm, or 9:00am-9:00pm
• Two weeknights and every Saturday-Sunday from 6:30pm-6:30am, 8:30pm-8:30am, or 9:00pm-9:00am

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services is required OR actively, continuously pursuing the degree and able to provide evidence of such; OR
• High School Diploma or General Education Development Certificate (G.E.D.) and six months experience working with children AND
• Enroll and successfully complete assigned training and Certification Program for development in our milieu of care
