Job summary

Delta-T Group is seeking a Residential Coordinator in Fairfax, VA to provide 24-hour awake supervision at a large Fairfax County emergency shelter for families with minor children. The role includes crisis intervention, facilities management, and maintaining a safe, welcoming living environment.

Ideal candidates have a HS Diploma, valid driver's license, and access to their own vehicle. TB testing is required; experience in human services and strong communication skills are essential for success

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential 24‑hour awake coverage and supervision of a large Fairfax County emergency shelter for households with minor children.
• Crisis intervention, facilities management, ensure safe and efficient operation of the front desk and maintain a positive living environment.
• Ensure the safety of shelter residents and company property.
• Perform rounds and monitor the outside and inside of the building grounds.
• Distribute household items, toiletries and other items to clients as needed.
• Perform residential cleaning, including light touch-ups and washing shelter linens.
• Organize and restock household supplies, toiletries, linens, towels, and donations.
• Conduct assessments and intakes for One‑Night‑Only families seeking shelter after hours.
• Proficiently utilize Google Suites applications (email, calendar, drive, docs, etc) as a part of day‑to‑day work requirements.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION

• The Residential Coordinator provides essential 24‑hour awake coverage and supervision of a large Fairfax County emergency shelter for households with minor children.

CLIENT'S HOURS

• Monday‑Friday from 8:00am‑4:00pm
• Saturday‑Sunday from 4:00pm‑12:00am
• Saturday‑Sunday from 12:00am‑8:00am

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Valid Driver's License
