Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor for the MAP program in Easton, MA. The role provides rehabilitative support to adults in group living environments, teaching daily living skills and implementing treatment plans under clinician guidance.

Responsibilities include medication management, transportation to appointments, and advocacy for resident needs, while maintaining documentation and a safe home environment. Strong communication and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility.
• Strong English communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and trauma-informed approach.
• Bonus: lived experience or multilingual abilities.

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs such as cooking, budgeting, and medication management.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home and complete timely documentation.

What You’ll Do:
