Job summary

Catholic Charities of New York seeks a full-time Community Residence Worker in the Bronx to support residents in developing life skills and achieving greater independence as outlined in their comprehensive service plans.

You will collaborate with Beacon staff, supervise medication distribution, maintain documentation, and coordinate medical, dental, and social services while engaging residents in goal-oriented activities toward longer-term independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience or training relevant to helping the mentally ill.

Responsibilities

• Integrate care of residents with Beacon staff and other providers.
• Follow NYS Office of Mental Health regulations and agency Policies and Procedures.
• Attend all meetings as required by the Program or instructed by the Agency.
• Case management of clients and helping residents develop daily living skills.
• Record keeping as required by Agency Policy and Procedures.
• Maintain community residence environment according to the program design and residents’ needs.
