Job summary

Progress Valley Inc. is seeking a Counselor (LADC or ADC-T) in Minneapolis to provide direct therapeutic counseling, assessment, and case management within our Residential Treatment program.

The role supports individualized treatment planning, group facilitation, and crisis intervention while modeling the organization’s mission and core values. Applicants must hold MN licensure as LADC or ADC-T, have a relevant bachelor's degree, and complete required co-occurring training.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota license: LADC or ADC-T.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Ability to pass DHS Rule 11 background check.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete admission documentation including treatment plans and forms.
• Develop diagnostic evaluations and individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate group sessions and crisis intervention.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and discharge summaries.
• Uphold confidentiality and comply with laws and agency policies.
