Job summary

Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge in Duluth seeks an on-call Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC/ADC-T) to deliver treatment services to clients. You will assess, plan, and document care, provide individual and group therapy, and coordinate with referrals while upholding state and DHS standards.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota LADC license required.
• Must complete continuing education to maintain license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to align with MnTC culture and values.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and modify program design to meet licensure requirements and client needs.
• Complete assessments and summaries within five days using ASAM criteria.
• Develop individual treatment plans and adjust as services proceed.
• Maintain case files with accurate treatment documentation.
• Provide group therapy and individual counseling for co-occurring issues.
• Facilitate addiction recovery groups and psychoeducation sessions.
• Ensure compliance with DHS regulations and professional ethics.
• Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and update progress notes.
• Coordinate with referrals, probation, and social services.
• Complete discharge summaries for each client.
