Job summary

The Charles River Center in Needham, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor to support residents with daily living activities, personal care, and community involvement in a group home setting.

You will help implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs), monitor residents' safety, and provide training and supervision to promote independence while adhering to behavioral plans, medical protocols and housing rules.

Qualifications

• Education: GED or equivalent.
• Experience with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must complete state and agency-mandated training (First Aid/CPR, DDS Medication Administration, Safety Care/Human Rights/Universal Precautions, CORE curriculum) within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision for medical, dental and personal care needs.
• Implement, develop and review ISPs and track progress.
• Assist residents with housing rules and travel to activities and appointments.
• Lead weekly house meetings and maintain records per policy.
• Maintain financial records for residents and program funds.
