Job summary

Stevens Treatment Programs in Swansea, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor for a full-time 2pm-10pm shift. You’ll mentor and support youth, build trust, and collaborate with clinicians to implement individualized treatment plans in a structured, trauma-informed setting.

Candidates need a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and pass an EEC background check; experience with adolescents is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Successful background check (EEC).
• Experience with adolescents or special populations preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive, consistent relationships with youth.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
• Partner with clinical and education teams to support treatment goals.
• Coach youth in coping skills, emotional regulation, and daily living skills.
• Respond calmly and effectively during moments of crisis.
